Once, they had just got to the station when an urgent call came in and they had to rush off – as they had brought Kev in for ‘questioning’ they couldn’t officially let him go until he had made his statement so they had to put him in a cell until they got back. Three hours later they arrived back at the station apologising profusely and even giving him a lift home after they had insisted on taking him for a drink in the police station bar!
