...ering the ghostly activity in the house. This went on for weeks until a lot of the larger items had been sold.
To alleviate the stress of all these problems we continued to frequent the local pub, the Meynell Arms. There was always a good atmosphere here, unlike at home, and the landlord at that time was quite a character. His idea of fun was to tell everyone there was free beer that night and when we all clamoured to the bar he would throw all the slops over us! Eventually people got the idea not to wear their good clothes when going for a night out in the Meynell! As everyone had heard about the ghost stories at the Hall, occasionally at these parties we would make an ouiji board and try and contact the spirits. Most people had had a few spirits of a different kind by then and we would all sit round the table watching the glass move around the board wondering who was pushing it.
